A strain of silence travails
past the winds of time
weeks and months
caught in the question of unknowing
the root of a sudden sunder
closure was not bound
only speechless chatters
by blind folded young lovers
reeling their way back to life
without another word exchanged
and I thought
this…
this is how you become strangers again

Hello wordsarefullofletters, I liked this poem very much, as it I think it contains a ‘poetic truth’. It is economic, and addresses universal themes, and the words sit well together. I have read your others, but this is my favourite.

I have an email address but it’s for personal reasons of course. I only made my wordpress account so I can improve my writing. My real life friends don’t even know I write, so I can only get advice from random writers in wordpress. I guess I can claim that I am pretty shy and reserved.
